The Japanese government has signed an agreement with the Ethiopian government to donate 10 mobile medical clinics with complete medical equipment to help strengthen equitable and accessible health services in Ethiopia.

On behalf of the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tades, Ato Iskandir Laki, director of the Directorate of Property Management and General Services, said that the Ministry of Health has carried out voluntary services in the winter, such as home renovation, green development and environmental protection, support for educational materials, free medical services, blood donation and food sharing in other regions, in addition to Addis Ababa.

A joint consultation forum was held among the leaders of African countries to strengthen the implementation of the Nutrition Program

The forum is prepared by the cooperation of the Ethiopian government and the African Development Bank with the aim of sharing the good experiences gained through the Sekota Declaration with other African countries to avoid poverty at the African level, to increase human resources, and to accelerate the development of the sector. It was presented on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, USA.

The Second Conference of International Pharmaceutical suppliers was held in Addis Ababa

Dr. Abdulkadir Gelgelo, Director General of the Ethiopian pharmaceutical Supply Service, said that the conference was held to attract pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers to the vast Ethiopian market and improve availability of pharmaceuticals supplies in Ethiopia.


Dr. Abdulkadir mentioned in his speech, “Because supply of medicine requires a mix of stakeholders and capital, there is a need to strengthen strategic partnership with suppliers.”

Ethiopia Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (EFELTP) has been accredited by TEPHINET's Global Accrediting Body (GAB)

EFELTP Accreditation

Ethiopian field epidemiology and laboratory Training program was started in 2009 and expanded from one university to eight universities and 45 field bases. Since its inception, the advanced field epidemiologist graduates (surveillance and response workforce) number has become over 700 nationally

The program which is now the largest globally had applied for global accreditation and accordingly made the necessary preparations for the past one year. In July 2022 a team from Atlanta, USA came and made assessments and verifications based on international standards.
