All concerned should be well-informed in order for a preliminary should be well-informed in order for a preliminary diagnosis to be made and to identify visible symptoms in time. For this reason, we have lost many.

Displaced people in Bahir Dar in Amhara National Regional State had been visited

Ministry of Health headed by State Minister for Health, Saharala Abdullahi; A group of representatives of federal hospitals and affiliated institutions visited people displaced by the TPLF and are sheltered in Bahir Dar, Amhara State.


The group visited internally displaced people from around Dessie and Kombolcha and visited the Zenzelma IDP camp in Bahir Dar.

A vaccination campaign to eradicate polio has officially been launched

State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma, who launched a nationwide vaccination campaign under the motto of creating a polio-free world, in Awassa and Gidio Zone, Dilla, Sidama State, said the Ministry of Health is focusing on eradicating polio from the country through regular immunization and vaccination campaigns.

Addis Ababa Youth Volunteers in the Health Sector Recognized

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Youth Volunteer Coordination Bureau, launched a summer volunteerism program in the health sector.


Recognized are young people from Addis Ababa who have volunteered at St. Emmanuel Mental Specialized Hospital, Alert Center, St. Peter's Specialized Hospital, Tirunesh Beijing Hospital, Yekatit 12 Medical College, Ras Desta Hospital and St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College.

The US government donated 453,600 Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine doses to Ethiopia

The American government donated 453,600 Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 doses to Ethiopia to help combat the pandemic worldwide. 


On the occasion the state minister W/r Seharella Abdulahi announced that this is the fourth round donation, and they have received 453,600 Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 doses. Also, she announced that 504,000 vaccine dose is expected to arrive in the next round.  

Senior officials of the Ministry of Health visited South Wollo Kombolcha town to inspect the health services provided to citizens who have been displaced by the destructive force.

It was stated that the support for the health of the displaced people and health facilities damaged by the forces will be strengthened and continued.
State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma and Director of the Ministry of Maternal and Child Health, Dr. Meseret Zelalem, accompanied by the Mayor of Konbolcha and officials of the Department of Health, visited citizens in the shelters.
