Message from the Hon. Minster of Health Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
Dear Friends, Tenayistilign and welcome to Ethiopia’s Federal Ministry of Health. Thank you for visiting us at a time which I believe to be a particularly dynamic and promising one for Ethiopia’s health sector. So much is happening on so many fronts. And as we approach the close of the first decade of the 21st Century and the second year of the new Ethiopian Millennium, we should derive much encouragement from the significant strides we and our partners have been making in improving the health conditions of communities throughout Ethiopia. Our newly redesigned website is perhaps the most effective way of conveying the dynamism of this period and the progress we are making through a wide array of initiatives. I hope that all who visit and browse through these pages can sense the heightened energy and commitment, which characterise all our ongoing efforts at every level of our decentralised health system. To be sure, our new website is a ‘work in progress’-- much like our ongoing health system strengthening and reform efforts as a whole. Our aim is to incrementally develop an informative, dynamic and user-friendly website, which we hope will provide you with an even more interactive and engaging experience at every subsequent visit. Indeed, we are counting on your feedback and hope you will help us strengthen and refine this site by using it often and submitting your suggestions. We also very much welcome innovative ideas for strengthening and accelerating our various programmes and addressing the critical challenges we face in various areas. And in this respect, I am particularly excited about our new interactive discussion.Forum which we envisage as a means of facilitating broad engagement in our various efforts. We look forward to the vibrant dialogue and exchange this interactive feature will foster among our multitude of partners and stakeholders once it is up and running, We hope that on every occasion you will leave this site well-informed, encouraged to visit again and inspired to be engaged in support of our ongoing efforts in some capacity. Join us in making our vision of a healthy, productive and prosperous Ethiopia a reality. |
