An appreciation program was held for St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College professionals who played a role in preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic.

In her speech, the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadese, who attended the program organized by St. Paul's Hospital, Millennium Medical College, thanked them for their contribution in responding to the covid-19 epidemic and humanitarian need that happened in the past in our country. She said that the ministry acknowledges the management and staff of St. Paul's Hospital Millennium College and thanks them for their sacrifice during this difficult time.


Dr. Lia said, "During the epidemic, the leaders and staff of the hospital took the initiative and paid sacrifices at the Millennium Covid Center, and for your contribution in helping the center to expand in other regions." She said that it is a work in which we realized that we have the capacity to carry out great work and responsibility.


Dr. Wondemagegn Gezahegn, Provost of Millennium Medical College of St. Paul's Hospital, said that the staff of the hospital and the college were working with determination to reverse the epidemic and help the patients to recover without risking their lives. He said that due to the presence of professionals who lost their lives, respect and gratitude should be given to all of them.


A prayer of conscience was offered to the medical professionals who lost their lives in their key role in the prevention of Covid-19.
On the day, recognition and awards were given to those who have made a special contribution to the disaster response to the Covid-19 pandemic in the past two years.


In connection with this, the seventy-five years of success of the Millennium Medical College of St. Paul's Hospital began to be celebrated, and in this regard, the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadese, stated; “it is an institution that is contributing greatly by providing education and medical services”. She said that this is a great pride of the country and explained that they should prepare for more responsibility in the future.
