On behalf of the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tades, Ato Iskandir Laki, director of the Directorate of Property Management and General Services, said that the Ministry of Health has carried out voluntary services in the winter, such as home renovation, green development and environmental protection, support for educational materials, free medical services, blood donation and food sharing in other regions, in addition to Addis Ababa.
He said that during this year's summer volunteer service, the Ministry of Health is doing extensive work, especially in connection with renovating the houses of families who need support, in addition to Addis Ababa; they are also renovating the houses of the unfortunate in Gambella. On the day, they handed over the keys to the poor individuals whose houses were renovated.
The families who took over the houses said that before the renovation, especially in the winter months, it was difficult to sleep because the rain was dripping in their house. They thanked the ministry for their support.
In addition to the Addis Ababa city, the Ministry of Health has renovated more than 16 households in different regions during the winter months of the volunteer service's construction program for the poor.
